A journey through
Kerala's soul

The Spice Route Social is a love letter to Kerala — God's Own Country — brought to the heart of Stoke-on-Trent. We trace the ancient trade winds that carried cardamom, black pepper, and turmeric across oceans, and honour them in every dish we serve.

Our kitchen breathes with the rhythm of coastal Kerala: fresh coconut, curry leaves, Kerala spices, and recipes passed down through generations. Every plate tells a story of a land where the backwaters meet the Arabian Sea.

HEAD CHEF • THE SPICE ROUTE SOCIAL

Our Head Chef began his culinary journey by studying Hotel Management and Catering Technology at the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Kerala. Over the past 11 years, he has built his career across respected hotels and hospitality brands in both India and the United Kingdom.

After gaining valuable experience in leading hospitality establishments in Kerala, he continued his journey in the UK, working with internationally recognised properties, including Hilton, where he refined his skills in professional kitchens while maintaining his passion for authentic Kerala cuisine.

Today, he leads the kitchen at The Spice Route Social (TSRS) with one clear vision: to introduce the true flavours of Kerala to the UK while building his own signature culinary brand, Chef Shack.

Every recipe reflects years of experience, respect for traditional cooking methods, and a commitment to delivering unforgettable dining experiences. Through TSRS, his goal is to establish Chef Shack as a brand recognised for authenticity, creativity, and exceptional Kerala cuisine.

With 11 years of culinary experience, he continues to honour tradition while creating memorable dishes that celebrate the rich heritage of Kerala—one plate at a time.
